Hungarian-born Mitchell Torok became a major name on the country scene during the early '50s initially by supplying the song for Jim Reeves' debut hit "Mexican Joe", and then as an artist in his own right, recording his own distinctive self-penned brand of novelty-flavoured material that gave him big hits on both sides of the Atlantic with songs like "Caribbean", "Red Light Green Light" and "When Mexico Gave Up The Rumba". This comprehensive 59-track anthology includes all his recordings for the FBC, Abbott and Decca labels, including tracks which were not released at the time, plus his subsequent singles and selected other tracks for the Guyden label.
